KRIPTA 2013, GRAND GOLD WITH 98 POINTS

The CIVAS Committee ofthe International Competition Akatavinos Sommeliers of Spain, has distinguishedthe KRIPTA GRAN RESERVA 2013 with the GRAND GOLD medal and 98 points among 3000wines tasted from 1000 different wineries.

A new recognition thatadds to this magnificent vintage with 8 years of long aging in the bottle, and to other two awarded AGUSTI TORELLO MATA cavas: theMAGNUM GRAN RESERVA 2016 and the BRUT NATURE 2014 that have obtained a GoldMedal each with 95 and 93 points respectively.

The three awarded cavas reflect the quality of the terroir:all of them comes from plots organic and vegan certified of the Penedès wineregion. The manual harvest of each variety is the initial guarantee of thegrapes that allows us to get those extraordinary cavas. The winery produces itsbase wines with selected yeasts from each plot to preserve the character of itsorigin and of the different local varieties: Macabeo, Xarel.lo and Parellada.

The long years of aging and the wisdom of a perfectlybalanced coupage are the elements that have configured the fruit of eachharvest like a liquid landscape: painted with the raindrops and the tones ofthe cold and heat of the 12 months of the year.

AGUSTÍ TORELLÓMATA AWARDED AMONG THE 13 BEST SPANISH WINERIES OF THE DECADE AND KRIPTA AWARDFOR THE BEST SPARKLING WINE 2021

The gala dinnerat the Financial Center of Madrid has been the stage in which this Monday,October 18, the Spanish Association of Wine Journalists and Writers (AEPEV) hasdistinguished 13 wineries to be the best wine cellars in Spain during thedecade 2011-2021.

AGUSTÍ TORELLÓ MATA is one of the two Catalanwineries recognized by this award, mainly due to its trajectory in which, thislast past then years, has obtained awards for several of their cavas to be thebest sparkling wines in different editions, each voted by the more than 170media professionals that have been part of the AEPEV for more than 30years.

On the same dayAGUSTÍ TORELLÓ MATA received during the GOURMETS SALON the award for the bestsparkling wine 2021 for its cava KRIPTA GRAN RESERVA in an act that celebratedthe 34 years of the most emblematic wine and gastronomic salon in Madrid.

Two greatrecognitions that consolidate the work of a family committed to thesustainability and quality of the territory and its product: All the cavas ofthe winery are organic, hand harvested, vinified 100% in the property andfaithful to the own autochthonous varieties of the grapes. As Bettane &Desseave wrote in their book of the best wines in the world: The Torelló Mata familymakes “haute couture” cavas.
